Technology and Services

Remote Sensing and Research

SPS Chile has been at the forefront of remote sensing technologies, utilizing both drones and satellites. Since 2018, we have implemented satellite monitoring for 100% of our open-field crops. This technology enables us to track crop growth at various stages using infrared images and indices such as NDVI, which help estimate vegetation quantity, quality, and development. Additionally, our system provides us with access to local climate data, both in real-time and historical records

Seed Processing Plant and certified ISTA Laboratory

Our team comprises individuals with over 25 years of expertise in seed cleaning. Our cleaning lines are tailored to suit the specific requirements of each crop, ranging from high-precision lines for valuable manual hybrids to high-capacity processing lines, complemented by two color sorting lines. Our quality control laboratory is ISTA certified and proficient in handling a diverse array of plant species

Our dedication to both the environment and the well-being of people

SPS Chile is deeply committed to three core principles: environmental responsibility, ethical work practices, and organic production. We take great pride in upholding these values.

In 2017, SPS Chile attained its first certification under SMETA, a comprehensive assessment that evaluates labor conditions, health and safety standards, environmental practices, and ethical conduct within our own operations.

In a groundbreaking move in 2019, SPS Chile became the world's first seed company to exclusively power all its operational and processing facilities with solar energy, meeting 100% of its electrical energy needs sustainably.

Simultaneously, starting in 2019, SPS Chile embarked on its journey in certified organic exports, aiming to expand the range of services offered to clients worldwide
